#55 アメリカ/ オールドスタイル (G. Heileman Brewing Company)

「オールドスタイル」はシカゴで最も有名なビール。シカゴのジャスティンがオールドスタイルをもった写真を撮った時そう思いました。（ミラーライトを元々つくっていたブリュワリー”マイスターブロイ”はもともとシカゴのブランドでしたが）

オールドスタイルは、1902年にウィスコンシン州ラクロスで最初に醸造されました。ビールはシカゴで他のどこよりも人気を博し、1935年までに同社はウィスコンシンから根こそぎシカゴに移りました。

ジャスティンも私も1935年にはいなかった。生きていると、学びます。オールドスタイルは、2016年州を越え事業を始めたウィスコンシン州に戻るまで、イリノイ州のブランドでした。 1972年、醸造所は深刻な財政問題に直面しました。それは後にミルウォーキーのミラー醸造会社に購入されました。今モルソンクアーズ。少なくとも北米。Old Styleという名前は現在、ロシアを本拠地とするOasis Beveragesが所有するPabstが所有しています。

#55 Old Style.

Chicago’s most famous beer. That is what I thought when I had Chicago Justin hold it for the picture. Turns out Meister Bräu was the Chicago brand.  Old Style comes from La Crosse, Wisconsin, where it was first brewed in 1902. The beer caught on more in Chicago than anywhere else, and by 1935 the company uprooted from Wisconsin and moved to Chicago. I’m guessing Justin wasn’t around in 1935 me either. Live and learn.

Old Style remained primarily an Illinois brand until 2016, when it moved its operations back across the border to where it began. In 1972 the brewery was faced with serious financial issues. It was later purchased by none other than the Miller Brewing Company of Milwaukee. Now Molson Coors.  At least North American.

The name Old Style is now owned by Pabst which is owned by Oasis Beverages, which is based in Russia. Are disinformation campaigns on other beers down the road? Probably. Unless they just poison the opposition.
